Value

A Value refers to a viewpoint towards something such as life or an event, or the standard for evaluation
價值觀指對人生、事物的看法或評價的標準)

Here are a few examples expressing values:

• Emphasis on appearance 重視外在美

• Love is above all 愛情至上

• Money-oriented 金錢至上 / 金錢掛帥

• ~ is more important than wealth (e.g. health) ~比財富更重要

• ~ is more important than one's career (e.g. friendship) ~比前途更重要()

Here are some good and bad examples of whether the value of person is involved:

• Andy earns money by every possible means.

• Andy tries to earn money by every possible means. This shows that he sees money as the most important of all.
  O This clearly shows Andy’s value orientation, but it has not included any concept terms.

• Andy tries to earn money by every possible means. This shows that he sees money as the most important of all and is a money-oriented person.
  OO This clearly presents Andy’s value orientation, and it has made use of concept terms.
