¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to Kindergarten and the Riverview International Academy Family on the Winter Gardens Campus. I am very excited about teaching your child this year. I was born in Tijuana, Mexico and raised in Chula Vista, California in a Spanish speaking household. I have been married to my wonderful husband Mike since 2004 and we have two amazing boys, Jake and Adan who are both part of the Riverview family. After nearly 20 years in the corporate world as a multicultural market researcher, I decided to pursue a career in teaching. I have been a substitute teacher since 2014 when my son Jake started kindergarten. I always knew my passion was teaching and I am so happy to have the opportunity to pursue it. I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish with a minor in Chicana/o studies from San Diego State University. I received my bilingual teaching credential from United States University and a Masters in Teaching Language Arts from SDSU as well.

I feel privileged to be a teacher at Riverview International Academy and I love what I do! I hope to make yours and your child's first experience with us a great one full of memories, fun and lots of learning!
