Overview:  Students will examine the tragic event and aftermath of the assassination of Charlie Kirk 

Purpose:  Students will be able to record their thoughts on the subject of this major event in American history.  This is a personal reflection paper. 

Process Steps:  

1. Create a Google Document in your Contemporary Issues Share Folder titled: "Last Name - Assignment 3"

2. At the top of the Google Document, place the title "Assignment 3 - Charlie Kirk."

3. Students will write their thoughts on the assassination and the aftermath of Charlie Kirk.  Students will write their thoughts on the subject of how this impacts them, their community, and their country.  What are your predictions of the immediate future

4. THIS WILL NOT BE SHARED WITH OTHER STUDENTS unless you wish to volunteer to do so

5. Students will then write at least 400 words on this subject. (40 points)

6. All essays will be printed and given to each student as an artifact of their high school experience
