Overview:  Students will examine the the major events that occur in the world or US between 9/9/2025 - 9/16/2025

Purpose:  Students will be able to evaluate what they consider the most-impactful events. 

Process Steps:  

1. Create a Google Document in your Contemporary Issues Share Folder titled: "Last Name - Assignment 2"

2. At the top of the Google Document, place the title "Assignment 2 - Current Events"

3. Students will make a list of ten major events (1-2 sentences) of major events on each day between September 9 and September 16. (16 points total)

4. Students will then make a more detailed summary (50-75 words each) on 10 events during this time period (30 points)

5. Students will then identify three events during this time period that are candidates for a contemporary issue.  This means that the event leads to a major issue of discussion

6. Students will then write a 100-125 summary of each of the contemporary issues that they choose during this time period. (15 points)
