The Lourdes School of Mandaluyong (LSM) Griffins Basketball Team blew out the Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati (DBTI) Greywolves in a commanding 69-35 point win, which took place last October 23, 2025, at Padre Pio Gym.
The first quarter still showed a close game between the two competitors. Ending the quarter with a 17-10 score in favor of LSM, the Greywolves still seemingly had a chance — but the Griffins held a firm grip on this match. Trading layups and free throws, the Griffins were able to put the ball in the bucket more times than the Greywolves.
The second quarter is when LSM really took control over the game, widening the lead between them and their opponents. LSM overwhelmed DBTI on both ends of the court. Scoring was a given, but lockdown defense is what really dictated the game. Ending the first half of the match, the score displayed a 35-16 point lead, with the Griffins showing no signs of letting their lead go.

The third quarter only cemented how the game was going to conclude. As the Griffins continued to control the court, the Greywolves were met with pressure. The paint was clogged, steals piled up, and shots were forced thanks to the smothering defense and quick switches by the Griffins. The third ended 55-21, a 34-point lead for LSM.
As the fourth quarter came to a close, wrapping up the basketball game, LSM sealed the game with a 34-point victory against DBTI. The Griffins’ performance was a showcase of what teamwork on both ends of the floor looks like. Each player stuck to what they did best, got each other involved, and trusted one another.
This game showcased how the Griffins are not just composed of individual talents and skills, but a united team putting in collective effort and sharing their desire to win. Every player contributed on both ends of the floor, proving that balanced teamwork can be just as powerful as individual stars. With this blowout win, the Griffins carry confidence and preparation, ready to face their take on whoever comes next.
