The Link, the official high school student publication of Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, participated in the High School Student Government's SIGLA Organization Fair 2026, opening sign-ups for students interested in campus journalism through interactive booth activities on July 7 and 8 at the Albacina Hall during Health Breaks 1 and 2.
The two-day fair gathered student organizations, ministries, and varsity teams, providing Lourdesians with opportunities to explore organizations that matched their interests and encouraged greater involvement in extracurricular life.
Among the participating organizations were The Link, the Auxilium Committee, The Loop, and the Knights of the Altar, while varsity teams showcased their jerseys, medals, and championship trophies. A photo booth on the second day also gave students the opportunity to capture memories with their classmates.
At its booth, The Link engaged students through interactive activities that introduced them to campus journalism. Participants completed notable quotations from Filipino political figures, promoting awareness of current affairs while reflecting the publication's commitment to responsible and informed journalism. Students who signed up also received complimentary publication pins.
Meanwhile, The Loop held a caption-writing activity that challenged participants to write captions for selected event photographs, emphasizing creativity and concise storytelling in student media.
The organization fair underscored Lourdes School of Mandaluyong's commitment to holistic formation by providing students with avenues to develop their talents, leadership, and sense of service through participation in campus organizations.
This year's participation also coincides with The Link's 60th anniversary, marking six decades of bridging stories and amplifying the voices of the Lourdesian community. As the publication continues its legacy, it remains committed to truthful, ethical, and impactful campus journalism in service of the school community.
