LSM's 65th Anniversary Logo Revealed
After a ten-second countdown, Fr. Acuin, Rev. Albert, Br. Donasco, Mr. Ariz, and Mr. Garcia revealed the LSM 65th logo as they took off its cover. The LSM community was filled with applause.
Mr. Sean Gabriel L. Torres from Son of Lourdes (SOL) 2024 designed the winning logo from the logo-making contest last July, with the revisions of LSM’s Human Resource Assistant Mr. Jayson U. Dela Cruz from SOL 2019.
Mr. Arvin John C. Ramirez, the research coordinator and chairperson of the logo-making contest, explained the elements present in the logo.
The official logo has a large number ‘65’ with a sapphire design, which has the San Damiano Cross and the Marian emblem clothed with the sun. Mr. Ramirez explained that these symbols depicted the start of St. Francis of Assisi’s ministry and the importance of the Blessed Virgin Mary as an inspiration to all Lourdesians.
According to Mr. Torres, there was also the inclusion of the three crosses which symbolized Franciscan piety.
Likewise, Mr. Ruben Joseph G. Bautista, a music teacher, sang his original composition of the 65th anniversary theme song, “65 Years of Journey.”
Launching of First School Thrust, Gospel Brotherhood
In addition to the launching of LSM at its 65th year, the Grade 12 Batch Representative Master Jose Alfonso M. Lopez led the Gospel Brotherhood Pledge in recognition of the first school thrust.
As the pledge ensued, the Instructional Technology Coordinator Mr. Nolan A. Notarte raised the banner of the school's thrust. The banner included a burning Tau Cross of the Franciscan order.
During the launching of the blue sapphire anniversary, Rev. Albert led the opening prayer while Br. Donasco led the closing prayer.
