In line with Lourdes School of Mandaluyong’s mission of forming young Christian leaders, a new batch of officers for this academic year were inducted into office on October 16, 2025 at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Church.
Student leaders from both the Junior High School and Senior High School Student Government of Lourdes School of Mandaluyong took their oath of office before the altar.
The ceremony took place and was solemnly celebrated through a Eucharistic Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Jusfer John Albert, OFMCap., and Rev. Fr. Cesar Acuin, OFMCap. In attendance were all the students and faculty of the high school department, with the elected officers dressed in their formal attire to reflect the significance of the event.
During the Gospel Reflection, Rev. Fr. Jusfer delivered a heartfelt and inspiring message centered on the theme of leadership. He emphasized that leadership is not limited to those holding formal titles, high-ranking positions, or wielding great power, but is a responsibility and opportunity open to all. Fr. Jusfer encouraged students to lead by example, act with compassion, and remain committed to serving others in both big and small ways, a message that resonated strongly with the young leaders in attendance.
Grade 12 homeroom and club officers also participated in the Mass and the oath-taking ceremony attentively.
During the Mass, the official oath-taking ceremonies commenced. Class and club officers from the various high school levels solemnly took their oaths of office, pledging to uphold their duties with integrity and dedication. This was followed by the formal introduction and oath-taking of the newly elected Student Government Officers for Academic Year 2025-2026, who were welcomed with enthusiasm and high expectations from their peers and school administrators.
Student leaders from Grade 11 also participated actively in the Eucharistic celebration and oath-taking ceremony
The event underscored the school’s commitment to nurturing young men with leadership rooted in service, faith, and community involvement, who will one day serve the country and the wider community in their own little ways.
