  • Hey everyone! We hope you are all doing well. We loved reading your paragraphs and seeing what you have been up to outside. Help your parents out in anyway you can and continue being awesome. We miss you! Check out our Staff Shout Out video if you haven't already.
  • Previous math lessons and tutorials can be found by clicking on the arrow in the top right corner of this page. We have also added Easter activities, extra math practice worksheets and reading comprehension activities for students. They are optional.

This Week's Tasks

This week in Reading

  • Continue reading at home for 20 minutes each day - a book from home OR using Epic!
  • Watch your teacher read “The Salamander Room” with pictures and compare the images in the book with your own. Chat with a parent or sibling about what is similar and what is different.
  • Using RAZ kids, choose 2-3 books to read this week. Expect to hear some feedback on your progress in the Raz Kids program.

This week in Writing:

  • Sort your weekly words into three categories: Short 'i' sound, Short 'o', and short 'u' sounds and oddballs.
  • Using your Weekly Words complete "Scrabble Spelling": see worksheet below. If you don't have a printer, feel free to use your own paper. Spelling + math = FUN!
    • "The Salamander Room" brainstorm with parents/siblings to decide what animal you will use in your own 'animal room' story. Begin research using resources at home or online. Notes can be written in point form. Please share with your teacher when you are finished!
    • See Google doc below to print; if you would prefer a digital copy, we can provide one for you in your parent's email - just let us know!
  • Optional - You can create Word Art using our weekly words by going to and clicking on 'Create' OR you can create your own word art by hand.
