How to use this page:

Our district has adopted a new reading curriculum called Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA). This program is for teaching reading, writing, listening, and speaking while also building students’ vocabulary and knowledge across essential domains in literature, world and American history, and the sciences.

1st: Access your child's teacher's classroom website and locate the current Knowledge Domain.

2nd: Use the resources in that domain to build your child's knowledge in order to support their engagement, comprehension and skill development in the classroom.

3rd: Continually practice the grade-level "Tricky Words" that reinforce the skills that are being taught throughout the year.
