CARENCRO HIGH SUMMER READING EXTRAVAGANZA!

WHY YOU SHOULD READ

Research shows that students who read approximately 35 books per year outperform their peers in all academic subjects and on standardized tests such as the ACT, the SAT, and the LEAP 2025.  It's difficult to reach that number of books if you take a break in June and July, right?

Reading throughout the summer will keep you working toward that goal.

Plus, there's no better way to learn about yourself and the world around you than through reading!

All Honors, AP, and DE students are REQUIRED to complete Summer Reading assignments.

Please scroll down and click on the classes you will be taking next year to discover what your assignments are for those courses and what your due dates are.  (You can also use the drop-down menu above.)

*Below, you will find information specifically about English I and English II.*
