MBE Virtual Leadership Day March 26, 2021

Students of Martial Billeaud Elementary ARE required to have their shirts tucked in and wear a belt.

Students MUST be in uniform at all times unless designated by the school.
Students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade are not required to wear a belt.

The final decision as to the appropriateness of clothing, hair, jewelry, and general appearance will be made by the principal. Any student who violates the student dress code will be subject to school disciplinary action. Please refer to the Lafayette Parish School System Student Handbook for further details concerning the dress code.

If your child is part of the Million Word Club and has previously received a t-shirt, he/she will be allowed and encouraged to wear on Mondays with uniform bottoms.
2020-2021 School adopted spirit shirt may be worn on any day.
GEAUX CAJUNS!! We will support UL by wearing a red shirt or red UL shirt/jersey on Fridays.

Khaki or navy blue
Boys: uniform style pants or shorts (no cargo pockets)
Girls: Uniform style pants, shorts, capris, skirts, skorts, or jumpers
NO wind suits, gym shorts, leggings, jeans, or sweat pants allowed
Length of skirts, skorts, and jumpers must not be shorter than 4” above the knee. If students have bottoms shorter than 4” parents will be called to bring a change of clothes.

Closed-toe and closed back shoes must be worn at all times. Please be aware that students will participate in physical education every day.

Jackets, sweatshirts, and coats can have hoods, but hoods may only be worn outside
Hats, caps, sweatbands, earmuffs, and bandanas are not allowed inside.
Knit caps may be worn outside in cold weather.

Earrings must be studs only. No other visible piercings allowed.
Students are also prohibited from wearing any type of rubber band bracelets, necklaces, or rings. These have proved to be a distraction from instruction. If discovered on campus, these will be confiscated from the student.

Book bags with wheels are prohibited due to safety reasons.
