Each grade level engages in different problem solving challenges. We work on the Think, Plan, Try method.
All the students were able to use their creativity, foster communication skills, be challenged in a supportive environment, and be able to express their personal learning styles and intelligence.
Cooperative Learning
Cooperative Learning
We use different problem solving initiatives to foster ideas on working cooperatively. We work on sharing ideas, creating plans, and lending helping hands.
It also gave us some opportunities to practice perseverance, one of our growth mindset goals.
Moving to Music
Moving to Music
A special event to start the year is built around the excitement that music can bring to exercising. We listen to a drum to get ideas for moving. Then we finish with an interactive media activity with our friend "Simon."

As we build on our initial team work ideas, we begin to expand to work on positive communication, proactive thinking, and conflict resolution.
We use reflection processes like Share Me - Share You - Share Us to create a team identity we believe in.
Adventure Classroom
Adventure Classroom
Our adventure classroom gives us endless learning opportunities. One of the early goals is to empower each child to make proactive decisions about what challenges them safely. While they conquer individual goals they are simultaneously problem solving how to share obstacles and pathways with their classmates.

Floor Hockey
During our floor hockey unit we practice stick control so we can be proficient in our games.
Movement Concepts
Movement Concepts
We get a chance to explore many different kinds of movement. Some highlights are creating balances individually and with others. We use a lot of perseverance doing dynamic moves like cartwheels and rolls.
