This college level course is intended for seniors who are considering pursuing teaching as a profession. Students will be assigned a classroom in the district in order to gain teaching experience as they assist the mentor teacher with classroom preparation, tutoring, small group learning activities, and whole group instruction. Students will also engage in pedagogical studies and instructional projects that explore classroom culture, literacy, theories of learning, and other educational issues. Strategies are aligned to local, state, and national standards for college and career readiness.Students will enroll in 1.0 credit of EIP Theory and Practice and 1.0 credit of EIP Field Experience.
