That is what Joshua said to the people of Israel in the Old Testament, and that is what we still encourage at Luther Prep. Our purpose is to help kids see the many blessings that God graciously gives in Christ and how those gifts can be used in humble service to the Lord.

What makes Luther PRep unique?
Luther Prep is the oldest Lutheran high school in the United States. LPS originated in 1865 as the prep department of Northwestern College. Now, it is one of two WELS Ministerial Education high schools.
Over the last 161 years, there have been changes on campus, but our purpose has remained. Luther Prep exists to encourage students to consider serving in full-time gospel ministry as a pastor, teacher, or staff minister in the WELS. More than half of our graduates pursue that goal. For this we thank our gracious God and pray for His continued blessing.
The campus family gathers together for worship 9 times (5 mornings, 4 nights) a week in our chapel.
Prep maintains a strong Lutheran campus culture consisting of confirmed WELS students.
Because we have dorms, our students come from more than half of the states in the US, and even a few foreign countries.
The LPS college-prep curriculum requires Bible, foreign language and music classes, in addition to the normal high school subjects. We also offer a number of AP courses to upperclassmen.
