Rainbow Club
Mission Statement
Rainbow Club will allow students who choose to attend the space they need to make lasting friendships while supporting diversity and inclusion at Goddard. Our mission is to create a safe, accepting environment that allows everyone to learn and to be themselves, free of judgment.
EDUCATION
We believe that student-led inquiry and discussion promote a safer and more understanding environment for everyone. Students will be in control of what topics we speak about during Rainbow Club, from research on notable historical figures, to current events, to laws on the books around the globe.
ACTIVISM
We strive to create a community of people who care about others and who contribute positively to their environment. Activism can mean many things, from volunteering for service, to being an ally/upstander for embattled populations, to helping clean the Goddard campus.
SOCIAL OPPORTUNITIES
Socializing is an important step toward promoting inclusion. Students will have the opportunity in Rainbow Club to express themselves through art, music, writing, and to hear perspectives from many different peers about their lived experiences. As well, students will have the opportunity to discover that they may not be quite so alone in their experience.
