6th Grade Choir

Students in 6th grade choir will work on proper vocal technique, singing in unison and 2 parts and will perform at the end of the 9 weeks. We begin working on blending and singing in unison with the use of rounds and folk songs. The use of solfege allows students a tool to train their ear and becoming more independent in reading music. As the 9 weeks progress, students will begin singing in 2 part harmony. Almost every 6th grader will have the opportunity to take choir, even if they are in another music elective.
