Hi!
My name is Laura Jones and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Wilder Elementary. I started my teaching career after studying art education at CSU. I taught art K-8, classroom 4th /5th combined in Denver. After leaving teaching for a while I felt compelled to return. I earned my Masters in Education while raising my small children. I have endorsements in Early Childhood Education (K-2) and Educational Technology. I substituted at Wilder for 13 years and began teaching kindergarten at Wilder last year. I absolutely love it! A fun fact - my own children both attended Wilder! One just graduated from Colorado College, and the other currently attends CU Denver.
I enjoy travel and camping with my family and 3 dogs Ollie, Ivy and Early. I am so excited to meet you as you begin your journey at Wilder Elementary. Welcome!
