• One person from the team MUST be reading in their designated reading seat in the library for their time to be counted. Unregistered readers' times will NOT be counted. 

• The timer begins when the seat is occupied and the timer stops when the seat is empty.

• You CANNOT miss class. Only register to read during lunches and study halls.

• Readers may eat in the library during lunch periods, while they are reading. 

• No more than 10 readers per team.

• No more than two adults per team.

• Readers may only register on one team. Choose your teammates strategically!

• The team with the most in-seat reading time will win a prize!

Please keep in mind: 

• The point of this challenge is to read. Readers should not play on their phone, do homework, nap, or talk to others or they can be disqualified. 

• This is a device-free event. Phones must be in your bag or the caddy. Readers should plan to bring or borrow a PRINT book. 

• Readers must plan with their team for switching during passing periods. No passes will be given to any team member for being late to class! 

At each campus:

• All team members will receive a goodie bag (including a free book)-just for showing up and reading. 

• Throughout the day, all team members will have access to a hot cocoa bar. 

• The team with the most reading time will win a prize for the ENTIRE GROUP.

• The team with the best-decorated space will win the best-decorated trophies.
