Project Cornerstone

Project Cornerstone is a wonderful program that is committed to helping all children feel valued, respected and known. The main objective of the program is to build assets amongst students and improve school climate by fostering skills such as empathy and self awareness. The program is a parent engagement program where parents are trained to create positive connections with students while volunteering to read carefully selected literature and do activities every month in the classrooms. Here at Collins we have around 40 parent volunteers and 7 yard duty helpers who are trained every month on the book of the month by our Project Cornerstone Lead and these volunteers take the lessons to the students in the classroom and playground.
