All about Mrs. Musgrove & 8th Grade Math
I went to 9 schools K-12! I also went to 4 different high schools! I know what you are already thinking...and the answer is no I am not a military brat. Being the new kid in class was not always easy, especially when we moved in the middle of the year. I graduated from Worth County High School in Sylvester, GA in 1996. I received my Bachelors degree in Business Management from Valdosta State University in 2000, my Master's degree in Education from Troy State University in 2006, and my Education Specialist in Instructional Technology from Valdosta State University in 2020. I taught middle school for 13 years at Lee County Middle School in Leesburg, GA. This is my sixth year here at LMS and I am proud to be a Viking! I married my best friend in 2017! We have 5 children between us: Gina, 20; Harleigh, 19; Kaleb, 15; Riley, 14; & Lexie, 13! We have two fur babies Bella, a 12 year old black and silver cocker spaniel and Ollie, a 5 year old cat my daughter rescued when he was only days old. I look forward to what the 22-23 school year has in store! I am ready to serve the students and their families of Lowndes Middle School.
Eighth grade math is a FAST paced class. I only require four supplies for my class: 3 ring binder, pencils, paper, and a good attitude! Students will be given a packet at the beginning of every unit (there are 11 units). The packet will have the entire unit along with the study guide. The packet is expected to come to class everyday along with a pencil. All assignments will be updated on Google Classroom daily. You can add your email to Google Classroom to receive notifications about your student's work. I will also update grades in Parent Portal multiple times a week. I encourage you to put the app on your phone so you can receive updates as I enter grades. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com. Together we will get your child ready for high school!
