•Stores - Hobby Lobby and Books-A-Million are a couple of my favorite local shopping spots! My online favorites are Amazon and Shein!

•Places to eat - So. Many. Choices!! Friends, Mom & Dad's Italian, and Texas Roadhouse are always delicious for a sit-down meal! For fast food, Wendy's and Chick-Fil-A are tops!

•Books - Biographies, autobiographies, self-improvement, and inspirational books by Dr. Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, and Zig Ziglar are some of my favorite genres/authors.

•Guilty Pleasures - Dove, Ghirardelli, Godiva, and Cadbury (Fruit & Nut bar) are my favorite chocolates, Starbucks, and homemade brownies or chocolate chip cookies!

•Music - Contemporary Christian, Yacht Rock,  and '70s & '80s Country, Pop, and Rock are always great to hear!

Collectibles - Candles (earthy scents, like sandalwood, amber, etc.), plants, and I do like to keep a lot of pretty stationary and Thank You cards on hand!

•Relaxation Techniques - To relieve the stresses of life, meditation, naps, pedicures, facials, and massages help keep me grounded and healthy.

•Gifts for the classroom - Online credits to Teachers Pay Teachers, gift cards to Amazon, or Books-A-Million are wonderful! That way, I can buy things we may need for our class.

Interesting Facts About Me

• I’m a PK (preacher’s kid)! I was born in the cornfields of NW Indiana (near Chicago, IL), and our family moved to St. Paul, MN for my dad to attend seminary for four years. We moved back to Indiana, where he started a church. After 3 years, we moved to Valdosta, where I have remained. My dad now resides in Florida, and my mom retired back to Indiana.

• I enjoy reading, writing, gardening, bird watching, and crafting (especially painting)!

•I am a Fibromyalgia Warrior! May 12 is International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day. Join me in wearing purple on May 12 to raise awareness. Hopefully a cure will be found!
