My name is Ramon Foster and I am originally from Perry Ga but I moved to Valdosta to attend Valdosta State University. I have a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Middle Grades Education. I am married to my lovely wife Nicole since 2012. We have 3 lovely kids: Cam'ron, Laila and Bentley and a dog named Gracie. I am very family oriented and I treat my students as if they were my own. This will be my 3rd year teaching Physical Education at Hahira Middle School. I love what I do because it gives me a chance to connect with so many kids on many different levels. Coaching is my passion and I push kids to be the best that they can be because everyone has potential, but it takes being pushed in order to bring it out...
Along with Physical Education I am the Head 8th Grade Boys Basketball Coach. I also coach Soccer and Football.
Physical Education is an integral part of the total education of every child from Kindergarten through grade 12. Therefore, every student should have the opportunity to participate in a quality physical education program. It is the role of quality physical education programs to help students develop health-related fitness, physical competence in movement activities, cognitive understanding, and positive attitudes toward physical activity so that they can adopt healthy and physically active lifestyles. Quality programs are also important because they provide learning experiences that meet a student’s developmental needs, which in turn helps to improve the mental alertness, academic performance, readiness, and enthusiasm for learning
