  • Mrs. Johnson

Hello there! My name is Ashleigh Johnson. I will be your Kindergarten teacher this year!!! Let me tell you a little bit about myself! I have lived in Valdosta most of my life. I graduated from Valdosta State University with my degree in Early Childhood in 2005. I did my student teaching at Pine Grove Elementary in 1st grade and instantly loved the teachers, students, and everything about PGE!!! I was so honored when Mrs. Jones offered me a job and I could call our school my home! I taught First Grade for 11 years before I came down to Kindergarten. I absolutely love everything about this age and their enthusiasm for learning! I truly consider myself so blessed to get to do what I LOVE for a living!

I am married to my husband, Brett. We met in college and I dragged him to Valdosta when he graduated! We have 2 children. My oldest, Bryson, is 7. He is currently in 2nd grade at Crossroads Baptist School. He loves to play sports most of the year so we are pretty busy after school running him to practices and games. My youngest, Evelyn Claire, is 2. She attends Josiah Christian School and is such a WILD child. She keeps us on our toes for sure!!!

I am looking forward to this school year and getting to know your child! We will be busy learning how to read, write, and lots of different math!!! The best way for your child to succeed is to stay involved in their education. IF you have ANY questions, don't hesitate to email me or call the school.

  • Mrs. Sumlin:

I am Mrs. Sumlin. I have been working at Pine Grove for over 30 years. I have been in Kindergarten for over 20 years. I really love teaching Kindergarten. My favorite thing about these "Kinders" is when they finally have that "light bulb" moment on any concept that they have been struggling with. The pure joy on their faces is so contagious!

I am married to Bernard and we have one daughter, Shanarda. I have called Valdosta home my entire life!!! I look forward to teaching your child this year!
