Welcome to My Class!
I am so very excited to be teaching 5th grade Reading / ELA again this year! I've been teaching for 30 years and have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, as well as Special Education. I believe all students can learn, and it is my job to support and help each child build on strengths, while improving weaknesses. I enjoy reading with my students daily and hope to instill a passion for reading and writing in each and every one of them. I am truly blessed to be able to do what I love and to make a difference in the lives of children every day.

I am married to David Newsome, and between the two of us, we have five grown children and four absolutely adorable grandbabies! :)
