Hi Chorus family! My name is Mr. Jacob Eubanks and I am beyond thrilled to continue my teaching career at Lowndes Middle School. I am excited to meet every single one of you and immerse into the beautiful world of music making!
Mr. Jacob Eubanks is the Director of Choirs at Lowndes Middle School in Valdosta, Georgia. He earned a B.A. in Music with a concentration in Music Education and an emphasis in voice from Valdosta State University. He also holds an M.A.T. in Music Education and is set to graduate with an Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership in the summer of 2025.
During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Eubanks studied under Dr. Mark McQuade, now the theatre director at Lowndes High School. While at Valdosta State, he was an active performer with the VSU Chamber Singers, Spotlighters, and the VSU Opera program. He had the honor of performing with the VSU Chamber Singers at the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Conference and at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Mr. Eubanks also served as president of the VSU chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and was a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a national music fraternity. In his senior year, he was recognized for his achievements in music and leadership.
A graduate of Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia, Mr. Eubanks was actively involved in the school’s choral and theatre programs. He held leadership roles in the Serenaders, A Cappella, and Senior Men’s ensembles, as well as the drama club and the International Thespian Society.
Mr. Eubanks is a dedicated member of several professional organizations, including the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA), the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), and the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE). He regularly attends professional development conferences to continue refining his teaching and conducting skills.
During his tenure at Lowndes Middle School, Mr. Eubanks has guided multiple students to participate in state and district-level honor chorus events. Under his leadership, the chorus has earned superior ratings at the Georgia Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE).
In his free time, Mr. Eubanks enjoys spending time with family and friends, caring for his cat, watching thriller movies, reading, and napping.
