Hi! My name is Heather North. I have had the privilege of teaching art for 11 years. I find great joy helping my students develop necessary skills and tools that they will carry with them for a lifetime. My desire to help students develop their talents and abilities began when I was a Junior in High School. After having my very first art class, I knew that I wanted to teach art!

In 2003, I graduated from Crisp County High School and moved down to Valdosta. Then, I began college at Valdosta State University. I graduated from VSU in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in art education. A few years into my teaching career, I decided to further my education and completed my master’s degree with Nova Southeastern University in 2011.

When I’m not busy helping our future artists of America, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two girls. We love to visit new places together and have fun at home too. I also love being involved with my church and serving there. Some hobbies I like to do in my spare time are: play the piano, sing, paint, and snuggle with my kitty, Tooter.
