About Me

Coach Hardesty

My name is Will Hardesty, and I teach 6th grade math at Pine Grove Middle School. This is my first year teaching in my own classroom, but have been a supplemental aid paraprofessional at Lowndes High School for the previous two years.

I grew up in the Lowndes County School System, and come from a family of educators. My aunt is a counselor, my sister is a 7th grade math teacher at Lowndes Middle, and my mother is the Director of Student Services at Scintilla Charter Academy.

I grew up playing sports, and was fortunate enough to play football all four years of high school, ending with back-to-back state championships my junior and senior years. Now, I get the opportunity to, not only teach but, coach our future athletes, and I am hoping I can also impact their lives the way mine was impacted by so many great educators and coaches along the way.

I will be coaching 7th grade for football, and will be the head coach of the boys soccer team at Pine Grove Middle. I am also a Young Men of Excellence mentor, an amazing program where we teach 7th and 8th graders more about what it takes to become an exemplary young man, and how to succeed in all aspects of their life.
