School counselors assist students and their family members in designing a 4 year plan that includes all core graduation requirements and applicable electives to prepare properly for postsecondary education.  It's important to note that these plans are revised annually, realizing the interests and goals change often. Considerations pertaining to prerequisite courses, corequisite courses, leveling, teacher recommendations and class availability play a role in developing a specific and personalized plan that will maximize opportunities for success.
