EXPERIENCE OAK DRAMATIC ARTS

Oak Dramatic Arts education is dedicated to developing leaders of the future. Drama stimulates creativity in solving problems. Our students' perceptions about the world around them are challenged. Dramatic exploration offers students an outlet for expressing emotions, connecting thoughts, and dreaming in color. These are experiences that might take years to develop or never be nurtured. Where else can a student, if only momentarily, become someone else, and see life from another person's point of view. Experimentation in these areas where one is exposed and vulnerable, are best explored in a safe and caring environment. Middle school in general is the testing ground for making personal choices and finding solutions to every day life challenges. Rich literature teaches students about various characters in history and about everyday people around them. When action is met with reaction, young actors are allowed to filter newly learned information and plot the course of their future. Self examination, in-depth discussions are an every day occurrence on the stage. At the heart of Dramatic Arts training is heart and the means of communicating with one another. The leaders of our future will be called upon to have all of the aforementioned skills and abilities. Oak Dramatic Arts is a treasure trove of learning. We hope to see you on our class list in the near future!
