4 students went to Grove Primary School Tuesday afternoon to deliver an anti-bullying assembly. They were true ambassadors for the school, showing what LBS students are all about. They performed with confidence, delivering an important message to the four year 6 classes. Fantastic effort from team LBS.

Mr Clifford Match Report

It is my pleasure to let you all know about the superb performance the year 7's and 8's put in last night against Harborne Academy.

The boys won the game comfortably 6-0 and in truth should have been even more!!!! That is 2 wins in 2 games scoring 13 goals and only conceding 2.

Their conduct was exemplary and their ability to want to improve is encouraging, look out for future fixtures on the PE notice board next to reception.

Year 9 Rugby Team

Mr Clifford Match Report

The boys played games against Walsall Academy, a very experienced Rugby School and came a distinct second but learnt a lot from the experience, they also lost to the University of Birmingham School 2 tries to 1, drew with our new rugby rivals Perryfields 10-10 and beat Q3 Academy Tipton 30-5.

All of boys showed real grit and determination and produced some fantastic Rugby and the manor in which they conducted themselves was exemplary throughout!

Special mentions must go to Kieron Hutton for being our leading try scorer and David Feriancova for his outstanding defensive performances.

A combined Year 7 and 8 team played their first league game of the season against Shenley Academy and won the game 7-2. Goals coming from Kozaan Rahim who scored once, Aliou Cisse who netted twice and Kamraan Mohammed who scored a spectacular 4 goals!!!

Special mentions must go to Mekhi Berry and Rico Shirgill who both put in outstanding performances on their debut for the team.

Year 8 Rugby Team

4/10/18

Mr Clifford Match Report

This afternoon year 8 took to the Rugby pitch for their first tournament of the season.

They were narrowly beaten by King Edwards, Sheldon Heath and University of Birmingham Academy, 2 Schools who have benefited from the RFU support that we have just started to receive. Only losing each of these games by a single try was an amazing effort from our boys.

The year 8's won their other 2 games against Walsall Academy 20-15 and Shireland Collegiate Academy, one of the other schools at the same stage as us in their rugby development, 20-0. It is this final result that shows where our boys are compared to their peers.

An amazing performance by all of the boys with special recognition going to Josiah May, David Adeleke, Mohammed Anderson, Kamraan Mohammed and Anas Elktaly. These boys lead the defensive line, made huge tackles and all scored at least one try.

Year 11 Basketball Team

4/10/18

Mr Arshad Match Report

Year 11 basketball team played a warm-up game against St George's School Edgbaston and won 44-22. The young men involved showed great basketball skills, tactical awareness, and superb decision-making skills. Well done Lordswood Boys'School.

Year 7 Rugby Team

3/10/18

Mr Clifford Match Report

Year 7 Lordswood Boys' played against King Edwards Sheldon Heath, Q3 Academy Tipton and Perryfields. We left the tournament undefeated having only conceded one try. The coaches at the event all agreed that the Lordswood defence made the difference.

All of our boys put in a fantastic effort but special mention must go to Mekhi Berry for his brilliant attacking play and to our new Year 7 rugby captain Kaih'ral Gordon Pusey for his incredible tackling and mature leadership.
