Our LES half-day preschool program uses the Fundations Pre-K Activity Set to support students' emerging understanding of the alphabet. This program provides strong foundational skills in alphabetic knowledge: familiarity with letter forms, names, and their corresponding sounds. Research confirms that it is important to teach these foundational skills in a formal and purposeful way. (Fundations Pre-K Teacher's Activity Guide, page 4-5)

Meredith Glass grew up in Bennington, Vermont. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Arts Interdisciplinary Arts from San Francisco State University and a Master of Science in Education from Bank Street College of Education in NYC. She is dual certified in regular and special education including PreK to 3 certification. She has been working with children since she began her college education. Following her graduation from SFSU she worked at St. Peter’s Medical Center’s Child Care Program. More recently, she has been working in preschool for over eight years in the Hunterdon New Jersey area, and is very excited to begin working at Lopatcong Elementary School. She has a true passion for working with our youngest learners. Meredith has two daughters who attend Belmont University and the University of Pittsburgh. In her free time she enjoys art, nature, live music and cooking.
