Don't forget to change the details to fit you and your program!
Dear [Faculty Member name],
Last summer I traveled to Thailand for two weeks with Loop Abroad on their College Veterinary Service Program. Loop Abroad is a company that organizes various trips for students to Thailand, South Africa, Ecuador, and Australia related to veterinary science, marine science, education, and outdoor adventure. I had an amazing experience and want to share it with other students in our school’s community. Loop offers incentives to alumni to organize private groups through their school or organization and I am hoping to do so for next summer. Furthermore, they now accept faculty-led private groups where the faculty leader gets to travel for free should they choose to lead a group with Loop.
During my trip, I spent one-week volunteering and providing veterinary assistance hands-on with Asian elephants at the Elephant Nature Park and one-week learning and assisting in the veterinary care of cats and dogs at Loop Abroad's clinic in Chiang Mai. Through this program, I was able to earn not only 80 service hours but also clinical veterinary hours as well as class credit.
If you would be interested in learning more about my plans for organizing a group from our school or leading a group for next summer, feel to respond to this email! You can find more information on the different trips offered on the Loop Abroad website. Feel free to contact me or Mary Beth Glass, the Admissions Director of Loop at marybeth@loopabroad.com if you have any additional questions.
Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
[Student name], Loop Abroad Alum
