Longview Parks & Recreation Foundation
Our purpose is to enhance quality of place in the City of Longview and surrounding areas by proactively seeking multiple avenues of revenue generation to support, improve, enhance, and expand the park system and programs maintained and provided by the Longview Parks and Recreation Department.
More simply our focus is on 3 P's - People, Parks, and Programs
1. People: Longview Parks & Recreation provides classes, services & events to over 26,000 people annually. The Foundation strives to support the goal of providing high quality services to everyone. Your donations and support help Longview Parks and Recreation deliver better services, bigger events, and scholarship opportunities to families and youth in need throughout our community who may otherwise not have access to these healthy educational and recreational opportunities.
2. Parks: Longview Parks and Recreation maintains 645 acres of parkland, 18 parks, 23 playgrounds, a golf course, and 7 sports complexes and facilities where people meet, play, exercise, celebrate some of their most important milestones, and make lifelong memories. Our goal is to support Longview Parks and Recreation in their efforts to preserve and improve these spaces that define our community.
3. Programs: Longview Parks and Recreation programs provide a wide variety of learning and fitness opportunities to our community members of all ages. Your support allows these programs to continue, and are vital to ensuring programs that are offered at low- to no-cost, such as the Specialized Recreation program for intellectually disabled adults and the Boulevard Teen Center, continue to serve those most in need.
