Happy Friday!

I am so proud of how hard our third graders worked on the Math MCAS this week! I saw students using strong problem-solving strategies, maintaining excellent stamina, listening to their bodies when they needed a quick reset, and making great use of their scrap paper to organize their thinking. Their perseverance and positive attitudes were wonderful to see, and they should all feel very proud of themselves!

I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you for all of the kindness and generosity you showed during Teacher Appreciation Week. I truly felt so appreciated and spoiled by your thoughtful notes, treats, gifts, and support. Your kindness means so much to me, and I am incredibly grateful to partner with such wonderful families each day.

Hello to all and happy Friday!

It has been a whirlwind of a week in 3B… hard to believe we have already made it to May! We kicked things off with an important bus safety presentation, helping everyone review expectations and stay safe on their rides to and from school.

Hello to all,

We had a busy and productive week in 3B. A highlight was of course celebrating Valentine’s Day and Kindness Week! Thank you to Heather Moran for helping us with our Valentine’s activities.

Permission Slips for our trip to OSV in May went home on 1/30 with your child.  Please sign and return the forms along with the fee as soon as you are able.

Please see below for a reminder regarding 3B Communication:

As Dr. O’Shea shared earlier this school year, our district is moving toward a more flexible approach to conferences, with the goal of having meaningful conversations when they are most helpful for each child.

Throughout the year, we have reached out to families as needed to discuss their child’s progress, learning, and overall school experience, and we will continue to do so. We also appreciate families continuing to reach out to schedule conferences whenever questions or concerns arise regarding their child.

In addition to this ongoing communication, our calendar still includes evening conferences on March 4th from 5:00-7:00 and a full day for conferences on March 6th. There is no obligation, however, to schedule a conference on these specific dates. You may wish to connect sooner, later, or in a different format, and we will work together to keep the lines of communication open.

If you feel a conference would be helpful, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I truly value our partnership and look forward to staying connected.

Hello to all,

Friends worked hard this week and enjoyed their trip to the Book Fair!

Next week, we will celebrate the joy and creativity of Halloween... Our crew is EXTREMELY EXCITED to celebrate! Students may wear their costumes to school, however they should keep in mind that the parade is at the end of the school day and therefore might not be comfortable playing, eating, moving around, etc. in their costumes. I will also remind them of this next week! Please see below for reminders about our annual Halloween Parade:

Halloween Parade (weather permitting) 10/31/25 on the Green at 2:15.  Please remember that students will be dismissed at 2:45 and we ask families to wait outside after the parade for their students if you attend the parade. Good afternoon to all,

Welcome back! I cannot believe we have entered the final stretch of our year together.  Over the past two weeks of school we celebrated two 3B birthdays.  Thank you to Mary Foley for leading us in an activity to celebrate John, and to the Standifords for joining us to celebrate Beau! This week we also attended a dress rehearsal of Mrs. Brydges' kindergarten play... Such a beloved Center tradition, and it brought back many wonderful memories for our friends.

Here is what we have been up to in each content area:

Peacebuilders

-Brainstormed traits that describe our "best selves"

-Learned about the "Meta Moment" and how it can help us regulate our emotions

-Practiced taking a "Meta Moment"
