We utilized teacher checklists, exit questions, and student portfolios.
This year we have continued to update our ENL newsletter utilizing Canva. Creating a Q&A interview style format with our ELLS to explore their culture, ethnicity, and language.
I can compare and contrast a variety of cultures within our own environment.
I can understand that celebrating diversity has a positive impact on our well-being.
I can implement expressive and receptive language when discussing personal narratives and multicultural backgrounds.
I can learn how to format and print a newsletter using Canva.
Students were engaged in the learning process when making morning announcements about their own countries and others. Students were engaged in their classrooms creating Google Slide presentations and researching countries of their own choice. Students were involved in hosting country tables at the cultural fair with their families. Students collaboratively spoke with their ENL teachers in an interview style format. Students gained understanding and knowledge through the projects created and implemented at our cultural fair.
