Welcome to Room 3!
Hello and a very big welcome to room 3! My name is Erika Roosa and I am so glad that you are here.
We have a very exciting year ahead of us and I welcome both you and your first grader to North School. I look forward to having your first grader in my class this school year.
I absolutely love teaching! My passion is building an excitement for lifelong learning and curiosity. My classroom is focused on meeting the needs of every child and I love providing individualized strategies to assist my learners. I work to create a warm and welcoming classroom community for all of my students to feel safe, comfortable, and excited to attend school each day.
Encouraging positive self-esteem, a safe learning environment, and developing a strong base for future growth and learning is imperative. We celebrate all successes no matter how big or how small they may be. I love watching my students be excited and proud of the work and growth they have made.
I always encourage a strong parent-teacher relationship. I know that I have your whole world sitting in my classroom each day and I take great pride in being your child's teacher. Therefore, I strive to work alongside you and work as a team for your first grader.
Throughout the school year, I will communicate with you through Friday letters, emails, report cards and parent/teacher conferences. If you should have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am always here to help :)
