Mrs. Larson's Music Room
Music - It's not what I do...it's who I am!
Hello! I have been a music specialist at Lockwood School since 1999. I started as a K-2 specialist and have been teaching K-5 for the last 2 years.
Education: I have a Master of Music degree from the University of Idaho, where I studied flute performance and taught undergraduate music majors. I also have a Master of Education degree from Montana State University-Billings where I was an adjunct instructor in the music department. I taught flute pedagogy, elementary music methods, and applied flute.
Performance: I have been a member of the flute section in the Billings Symphony Orchestra since 1989. I play flute and piccolo in various ensembles including the Yellowstone Chamber Players and the Rimrock Opera.
Personal life: I have been married to my husband Daniel since 1984. I love to read and play with my dogs and ride my horse, Flynn, every chance I get!
