All public Texas colleges and universities and many private Texas colleges and universities use the Apply Texas admissions application. Once a student completes and submits one college application to a school, that application can be copied and sent to additional schools. There will be an opportunity to edit the application for each school as there are variations from one school to another. The applications open each summer as early as August 1st for some schools. Keep in mind that college admissions officers rely on the college application to learn about students who are applying for admission. When completing your college admissions application, be sure to include all information beginning with the summer before the ninth grade year. Be as inclusive as possible, and remember to include both school-related and also non-school-related information. It is best to have someone, maybe an English teacher, to review your essays before you submit them with your application.
