Loudoun International Youth Leadership Summit

Bringing the World to Loudoun County

The ninth annual Loudoun International Youth Leadership Summit (LIYLS) will be held on March 20, 2020 to March 29, 2020. Loudoun County students look forward to the opportunity to learn from the perspectives of their peers from around the world and find common ground on the most pressing issues facing the world. The 2020 theme is "One World. One Hope. One Future." Our focus will be on the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals. Over the course of the summit we will explore the power of young people to work together to achieve the targets set forth in these goals.

Nine Loudoun high schools (Broad Run, Dominion, Independence, Loudoun Valley, Park View, Potomac Falls, Rock Ridge, Stone Bridge, and Woodgrove) will host approximately engage about 180 students (45 international delegations) in 2020, including schools from Australia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Senegal, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, and Taiwan.

Due to the Coronavirus, some schools will be participating virtually.
