Learning Gains

As we approach the end of the school year and start to reflect on this past year, you might hear the phrase “learning loss” being thrown around a lot. While we are all aware that there are likely to be some gaps and that for some students, these gaps are heightened by inequities, we think it’s important to acknowledge the many learning GAINS our students have made this year. This article from Edutopia and this one from The Atlantic do a good job explaining how we can challenge our students to grow despite any setbacks they might have faced in the past 12 months.
