Looking for ways for your students to positively affect social change and learn how to connect with those around the world to develop a wider perspective? Teach Boldly offers a "human-centered approach with design- and empathy-driven practices that address many aspects of teaching and learning." Topics include classroom agility, telling stories on digital platforms, having courageous conversations with those who are different, and "prioritizing feedback and active listening."
With a focus on pedagogy, and how technology can improve teaching and learning, The Google Infused Classroom provides both veterans and those new to tech how to use specific tools to "amplify and disrupt the learning experience". The book will share new ways to use tools you might already be familiar with. Some of these include Book Creater, Canva, DOCS, Flipgrid, Formative, Forms, Padlet, Screencastify, Seesaw, Sites, Slides, Socrative, and YouTube.
After filling out the form you will be contacted sometime this summer with information about how to pick-up your book from the school.
Feel free to read ahead over the summer. However, the book study will take place virtually once school starts, with a slow Twitter chat one week each month from September - February.
In addition to the Twitter chats, you may be asked to put some of the ideas from your chosen book into practice
