Ocean View Computer Lab

At Ocean View Elementary School, our computer lab is considered an extension of the classroom. Our links directly correlate and are aligned with the weekly curriculum taught in the classroom. These links have many resources for you to use to support your learning. There are links that help you learn, help you practice your skills, and test what you have learned.

Our kindergartners visit the computer lab once a week. They will develop hand-eye control using the mouse while playing educational games aligned to their classroom syllabus.

Our first-grade students visit the computer lab twice a week. They will be introduced to basic word processing commands, as well as develop better mouse-control. They play educational game aligned to their classroom syllabus.

Our second-grade students visit the computer lab twice times a week. They will be introduced to and will practice keyboarding skills, and some word processing. They play educational games aligned to their classroom syllabus.

Third and fourth-grade students visit the computer lab two times per week. In the labs, they will develop skills in word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, publishing, internet research, and keyboarding. In addition, they will play educational games aligned to their classroom syllabus.

Our fifth and sixth-grade students use our computer lab links while using Chromebooks in their classrooms.
