Physical Education Essential Standards:
I will learn how to determine what a healthy fitness level is for me, and work towards achieving that healthy level of fitness.
I will be able to define the 5 Components of Health Related Fitness and give an example of each one.
Hello Mesa Hawks!
We are excited to get back to school because we get to meet new students and see our staff, even if only virtually for now. This year is a new adventure for all of us and we are ready for a new routine of learning and physical activity. We are proud to be a Mesa Hawks and we know that you will be too! We have the most amazing staff, teachers, and students!
We will be working on learning about and assessing the 5 Components of Health Related Fitness (Cardiovascular Fitness, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Flexibility and Body Composition). We will be setting personal fitness goals and providing opportunities to work on each of the 5 areas of fitness in unique ways to help students achieve their goals while adapting to our individual situations.
