Harloe's Computer Lab
For grades K to 6, the students use the computer grade level links that changes weekly to align with their curriculum. Grades 2 to 6 also use GSuite for education (Drive, Docs, Google, Slides, Sheets). In addition, all students have access to many educational games through Clever. These are the most used Clever applications:
Brainpop Jr. - grades K-3 (educational videos, games and quizzes)
Branpop - grades 4-6 (educational videos, games and quizzes)
Code.org (computer programming)
McGraw Hill (their reading book(s) and language games)
Pearson Easybridge (math videos and games)
Raz Plus (reading)
Reflex (math facts)
Starfall (K-2 curriculum)
Typing Club (keyboarding)
Grades K-2 have about one chromebook for every 3 students. Grades 3 to 6 have one chromebook for each student.
Our kindergarteners visit the computer lab once a week for 30 minutes, they use the Computer Lab Kindergarten links page.
Our first grade students visit the computer lab twice a week for about 85 minutes each total.
Our second grade students visit the computer lab four times a week for about 150 minutes total. They take spelling tests on most Fridays.
Our third grade students visit the computer lab twice a week for about 65 minutes total. They take spelling tests on most Fridays.
Our fourth grade students visit the computer lab twice a week for 20 minutes each session. They take spelling tests on most Fridays.
