Noble Lines

The videos below are based on a poster that I have here in the classroom. It helps to explain the noble lines of leading families and monarchies in Western Europe. The videos begin with the Emperor Charlemagne which pre-dates our focus of this course, however, learning about the long history is often fun and provides some great background to the tensions and relationships we see build between different dynasties and countries in Europe.

The Podcast, Noble Blood (available on Apple Podcasts and other resources), has some really interesting stories about European & other nobles. Some of the stories a little gory/mature at times, but very entertaining (note--episodes are not written by a historian, but are well done and well researched).
