How does my 2nd grade child learn in Go Math?

Welcome to Go Math!, Grade 2! In this exciting mathematics program, there are hands-on activities to do and real-world problems to solve. Best of all, you will write your ideas and answers right in your book. In Go Math!, writing and drawing on the pages helps you think deeply about what you are learning, and you will really understand math!

Each unit in Go Math includes about 10 lessons with a central focus. You will find that, in each unit, there will be skills and processes practiced to mastery. Each unit also contains vocabulary that your child is expected to master in the 2nd grade year.

How can I stay involved and support my child's learning?

Most nights, your child will have a Practice Homework Sheet to complete, ideally with some assistance from you. Their is also the Personal Math Trainer (online resource) that your child can use as another way to practice skills. These pieces will help you to be connected to your child's learning.
