Meet the Counselors

Ms. Maura Quinn, M.A.

Ms. Quinn is a native of the Northeast PA / Pocono Mountain region. She has been a School Counselor at Lower Moreland High School and the K-12 Department Chair since 2011. She is entering her 23rd year in school counseling. As an undergraduate she attended Providence College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She then earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. Ms. Quinn serves as AP Coordinator and Coordinator of Senior Mentor Interviews. She is the NCAA liaison and is involved with school and district-wide initiatives on the topics of mental health, wellness and safety. She also volunteers to assist the service-oriented Interact Club. Ms. Quinn enjoys spending time with her family, friends and rescue dogs as well as running, deepening her knowledge of nutrition / fitness and taking in the beauty of the shore.

Mrs. Jenn Romano, MS, CAGS

Mrs. Romano is originally from the New England area. She moved to Pennsylvania with her family and has been a School Counselor at Lower Moreland High School since 2015. She is entering her 17th year in school counseling.

Mrs. Romano previously worked as a School Counselor at Middleborough High School (MA) and New Hope-Solebury (PA).


As an undergraduate, she attended Roanoke College (Salem, VA) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. She then earned a Master of Science degree in Family Support and Parenting Education from Wheelock College (Boston, MA) and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) degree in School Counseling from Boston University. Mrs. Romano serves as Coordinator for the PSATs, co-hosts the College Day (formerly Meet the Rep Night) in the spring, and coordinates the Junior Book Awards and Scholarships. Mrs. Romano enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, taking weekend excursions, running outside, writing, and exploring new educational interests.


Mrs. Nikki Specht, M.Ed

(on leave for the 2021-22 school year)

Mrs. Specht is a native of the Philadelphia area and is entering her 4th year with Lower Moreland School District this school year. She attended Penn State University for her B.A. in Public Relations and English, and then continued on to West Chester University to obtain her Master of Education in School Counseling. After graduating, she worked as a Long-Term Substitute School Counselor at York Avenue Elementary and later as a School Counselor at North Penn High School. Mrs. Specht serves as the liaison to the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology, the coordinator for Awareness Initiatives, and the Open House and Summer Programs Coordinator. She enjoys cooking with her husband, cuddling with her cats, and spending time with her niece and daughter.

Ms. Alicia Oglesby, M.A.


Ms. Oglesby was born and raised in Philadelphia. After graduating from Central High School (258), she made her way to Howard University in Washington, D.C. She majored in Psychology and earned her bachelor's degree before attending graduate school at Chestnut Hill College, where she earned her master's degree in Counseling Psychology. Ms. Oglesby has spent the past 15 years as a counselor, originally working with teenagers for the University of Pennsylvania Center for the Study and Treatment of Anxiety and most recently working with college-bound students at Bishop McNamara High School, outside of Washington, D.C. When she isn't providing school counseling, Ms. Oglesby can be found having brunch with close friends or gardening. She is excited to be back home in Philly surrounded by her loving family and friends.


Mrs. Lindsey McFalls, M.S.


Mrs. McFalls was born and raised in Huntingdon Valley, PA. She has been a Counselor at Lower Moreland High School since 2017. She is entering her 11th year in counseling. Mrs. McFalls previously worked as a School Counselor at Sandwich High School (East Sandwich, MA on Cape Cod).

As an undergraduate she attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology (Human Services) with a minor in Child Development and Family Studies. She then earned a Master of Science degree in School Counseling from The University of Scranton. Mrs. McFalls serves as the College Counselor/School Based Counselor, providing individual and small group counseling. She serves as Coordinator of the PSAT’s, Coordinator for the Financial Aid Programming, College Admission Testing/Test Prep and College Research and Planning. Ms. McFalls enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids and bernese mountain dog, Kona.



Mrs. Robyn Sadowski - Guidance Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Sadowski was born and raised in the Chicago, Ilinois area. She has lived in the Lower Moreland area for the past 25 years. After working in the Healthcare Industry for over 20 years she transitioned to working as a Guidance Adminsitrative Assistant 6 years ago. She comes to Lower Moreland High School from Upper Moreland High School. Mrs. Sadowski enjoys golf, kayaking along with spendng time with her husband, two daughters and rescue dog.
