Meet the Counselors
Ms. Maura Quinn, M.A.
Ms. Quinn is a native of Northeast PA. She has been a School Counselor at Lower Moreland High School and the K-12 Department Chair since 2011. She previously worked as a School Counselor at Bala Cynwyd Middle School and Harriton High School (Lower Merion School District) as well as Melrose High School (Melrose, MA). As an undergraduate she attended Providence College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She then earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. Ms. Quinn serves as AP Coordinator and Coordinator of Senior Mentor Interviews. She is the NCAA liaison and is involved with school and district-wide initiatives on the topics of mental health, wellness and safety. She also advises the service-oriented Interact Club. Ms. Quinn enjoys spending time with her family, friends and rescue dogs as well as running and being at the shore.
Mrs. Jenn Romano, M.S., CAGS
Mrs. Romano is newer to Pennsylvania having transferred from Massachusetts a little over five years ago. She previously worked as a School Counselor at Middleborough High School (Middleborough, MA) and New Hope-Solebury (PA). As an undergraduate she attended Roanoke College (Salem, VA) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. She then earned a Master of Science degree in Family Support and Parenting Education from Wheelock College (Boston, MA) and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) degree in School Counseling from Boston University. Mrs. Romano serves as Coordinator for the PSATs, hosts the Meet the Rep Night, and coordinates Junior Book Awards and Scholarships. Mrs. Romano enjoys spending movie nights with her husband and two boys, weekend excursions and being creative.
Mrs. Nikki Specht, M.Ed
Mrs. Specht is a native of the Philadelphia area and is entering her 4th year with Lower Moreland School District this school year. She attended Penn State University for her B.A. in Public Relations and English, and then continued on to West Chester University to obtain her Master of Education in School Counseling. After graduating, she worked as a Long-Term Substitute School Counselor at York Avenue Elementary and later as a School Counselor at North Penn High School. Mrs. Specht serves as the liaison to the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology, the coordinator for Awareness Initiatives, and the Open House and Summer Programs Coordinator. She enjoys cooking with her husband, cuddling with her cats, and spending time with her niece and daughter.
Mrs. Lindsey McFalls, M.S.
Mrs. McFalls is a native of Huntingdon Valley, PA. She previously worked for five years as a School Counselor at Sandwich High School (East Sandwich, MA on Cape Cod). As an undergraduate she attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania (Indiana, PA) and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology (Human Services) with a minor in Child Development and Family Studies. She then earned a Master of Science degree in School Counseling from The University of Scranton (Scranton, PA). Mrs. McFalls serves as the College Counselor/Student Support Counselor, providing individual and small group counseling, co-coordinating PSAT’s, and serves as Coordinator for the Financial Aid Programming, College Admission Testing/Test Prep, College Research and Planning, and The College Corner. Ms. McFalls enjoys kayaking, gardening, and spending time with her husband and yellow lab Kirby.
Mrs. Linda Forcina
Mrs. Forcina is the School Counseling Department Secretary, and has worked in Lower Moreland High School for 32 years. Before she was a Guidance Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Forcina worked as an instructional aide in Special Education. She has been working in the School Counseling department now for 21 years. Some of Mrs. Forcina's duties include setting up college visits, making appointments for students, helping seniors with their applications, and supporting the counselors and their programs. In her spare time, Mrs. Forcina enjoys reading, working out at the gym, walking her dog, and spending time with her family.
