Career & Technical Education Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for 2017-2018

The Texas State Board of Education recently adopted new Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Career and Technical Education (CTE). The new CTE TEKS will become effective beginning with the 2017-2018 school year. The Four Cs of 21st Century learning, also known as the "Four Cs" or "4 Cs" are four skills that have been identified by the United States-based Partnership for 21st Century Skills (P21) as the most important skills required for 21st Century education.

RGV LEAD’s labor market report provides information about the Valley—the four-county (Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy) region in South Texas that is served by RGV LEAD.
