6th Grade Teacher

Donlin Drive Elementary

My name is Lisa Smith and I am delighted to say that I will be your sixth grade teacher this year! I am pleased to be paired with Ms. Masci for a second year. Get ready for a great year ahead!

Please allow me to tell you a little bit about myself personally and professionally. This year will be my eighth year teaching in the Liverpool Schools and my third year at DDE. Prior to becoming a classroom teacher, I taught in Liverpool as a special education teacher for six years. Last year was my first year being a classroom teacher. I have taught in both the Integrated Co-Taught (ICT) and Resource settings. Prior to teaching in Liverpool, I was a third grade classroom teacher at West Genesee. As a child, I went to Liverpool and I am a proud product of our district! I love teaching where I went to school! I attended college at Le Moyne where I received my undergraduate degree in Childhood Education and Early Childhood Education. I then received my Master’s Degree in Literacy from SUNY Oswego.

In my free time, I enjoy riding my mountain bike, repurposing furniture, and baking! My favorite food is anything with chocolate and peanut butter! My family and I love watching all S.U. sports. Lastly, my favorite authors include Laurie Halse Anderson, Patricia Polacco, and Roald Dahl.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have at or at 453-0249. You may also wish to take part in downloading the Remind app to receive one-way texts messages from Ms. Masci and myself. To obtain the class code and learn more about Remind, please refer to the resources tab and look for Remind Parent Letter and Remind Class Code. Lastly, check out all of the fun and exciting things that we are doing by following me on Twitter @lsmithDDE

Thank you so much and we look forward to a wonderful year together!
